Psychotherapy for all ages:

For some of my clients, I become the general practitioner for their psychological, mental and emotional health.  For some I am a traditional therapist, focusing on alleviating symptoms.  For others I am the consistent, accepting confident they can tell all to.
It is my experiences that people who seek psychotherapy……

Find that there are good reasons for their struggles, symptoms or issues.
Are able to develop avenues to transform blocks, stuck places, problematic behaviors and unhealthy relationships.
Understand their struggles as opportunities for healing, achieving goals and improving their quality of life.
May have a few sessions, many sessions, even intermittently over many, many years.

I am a Focusing oriented psychotherapist, which means I am a practical, interactive, mind-body-spirit oriented clinical social worker, who appreciates the multiplicity of the human mind and body.  I provide support and practical feedback to help people resolve current problems, achieve goals and make changes in long-standing patterns that no longer serve them.  Blending a variety of evidence based approaches, I draw on several strategies and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client, assessing and reassessing progress together regularly.

Consultation, Assessment & Supervision:

I offer clinical consultation, assessment and supervision to individuals, parents, groups, schools, human service agencies regarding the following issues:  post traumatic stress, attachment issues, dual diagnosis (developmentally delayed, chronic mental illness, etc.), complex family systems, building your private practice (including attaining providership to insurance panels) behavioral issues, transference & counter transference issues, residential care related issues, parenting, to name a few.
